⚖️ Settle It

Settle an argument with AI, with both of you in the room.

SharedChat's Settle It room is an AI judge that both people talk to at the same time. It won't rule until it has heard both sides, and when it does, everyone reads the same verdict at the same moment. No screenshots, no "well, it told me..."

How it works

Two people, one judge, one answer.

Both sides go on the record

Start the room, invite the other person by link or text, and each of you states your case in your own words. The Judge tracks who said what.

It asks before it rules

If only one person has spoken, the Judge asks for the other side instead of deciding. A one-person argument gets a question, not a verdict.

A ruling you can read

Decisions come in a fixed shape (Verdict, Ruling, Sentence) with reasons, and something to do next. Tap Get the Verdict when both sides are in.

It rules on the argument, not the person

The Judge is built to say "you're both partly right" when that's true, and to say it to both of you at once.

Good for

Anything two people keep re-arguing.

Money decisions, chores, whose turn it is, what the plan was, who said what, bar bets, movie facts, whether pineapple belongs on pizza. If it has two sides and you'd like it to end, it belongs here.

What it won't do

It won't rule on custody, legal questions, or anyone's safety. It says so and points you to a lawyer or real help. It won't pick a winner when the honest answer is "you both have a point." And it won't decide anything it only heard one side of.

Questions

Settle It, answered.

Can AI actually settle an argument fairly?

Only if it hears both sides. A normal chatbot gets one person's version and tends to agree with it. Settle It puts both people in the same thread, requires both sides before ruling, and delivers one verdict everyone reads together. That's the difference between a referee and a hype man.

Does the other person need the app?

They tap your link and can read immediately. To reply, they create a free account in about ten seconds. iPhone and web both work.

What if we disagree with the ruling?

Argue with it. The Judge takes follow-ups, and a good rebuttal can change the ruling. You can keep going until it makes sense.

Is Settle It free?

Yes. The free plan includes Settle It and every other room, with 5 AI replies a day. Plus ($9.99/mo) raises that to 1,000 a month.

How is this different from ChatGPT group chats?

ChatGPT can host a group, but you have to write the "be impartial" instructions yourself, every time, and nothing holds it to them. In Settle It, hearing both sides before ruling is a rule of the room. See the full comparison.
